Festivals, Food, and Fun: 2025 Events in Callaway County
Plan ahead for a season of fantastic fairs and festivals…with your choice of foods, entertainment and fun. Now is the time to put a few (or more) on your calendar. Callaway County’s offerings are sure to keep you coming back year after year.
Wander back to 1550 to the sleepy Irish village of Carlingford at one of the Central Missouri Renaissance Festivals in Kingdom City. The faire features more than seven stages, dozens of characters, more than 50 artisans, multiple living encampments and so much more. There’s even a Mad Hatter special event held in the children’s realm twice a day. Faires are held in April, May and October. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children aged 6-12. The dates for 2025 are April 26-27, May 3-4 and October 18-19.
Savor the flavors of morels and microbrews at the Morels & Microbrews Festival held annually in Fulton’s Brick District. Sample craft beers from top breweries, enjoy fresh and fried morels from local vendors, and treat yourself to delicious eats from food trucks. The festival also features live music from hometown favorites, The Kay Brothers, and local duo Mark and Sarah.
Admission is free, and so is the music and fun—but morels and other tasty treats are available for purchase. Beer tasting tickets (ages 21+ only) sell out fast, so grab yours in advance! Join us for the 13th annual festival on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
For more than two decades, families have been enjoying two days of fun every June at the annual Fulton Street Fair in the Brick District. Thrill-seekers can enjoy carnival rides, while others can take part in a cornhole tournament, bike show, and Kiddie Corral. The fair also features vendors, musical entertainment, and much more! Don’t miss the 2025 Fulton Street Fair on June 20-21.
Every Labor Day weekend since 1950, visitors flock to Mokane Worlds Fair at Lions Club Park. According to the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society, the event added “World’s Fair” to its name in the mid-1960s, taken from a house that was built in St. Louis during the 1904 World's Fair and moved to Mokane nearly 20 years later.
The fair is the second stop on the Callaway County Mutton Trail, so it features BBQ mutton as well as other food options, a demolition derby, tractor and vintage tractor pulls, carnival, music, cloggers and fun for all ages. Times vary daily. The 2025 fair is scheduled for August 29-31.
